Ponderosa Piranhas
Ponderosa Swim Team is one of the founding swim teams of the Northwest Aquatic League (NWAL), the largest US Swim organization outside the national USA Swimming organization. For more than 55 years, Ponderosa has been a summer league team serving Ponderosa Forest neighborhood and local area neighborhoods that do not have their own swim team. The parents and relatives of the swimmers provide the volunteer support to operate the team, from providing parent membership elected members for the Board of Directors, to coaching, organizing community outreach and various other volunteer activities to run and/or manage the team and competitions. All funds are used toward the operation of the team and for the benefit of its swimmer participants and members.
