Family Commitment: Time
Practices:
Our swim season runs from end of April to the end of June. We hold after-school practices at Campbell Middle School Monday through Friday during April and May and then Monday through Thursday during the month June. Practice times are typically from 5:00-7:30PM, with specific practices for swimmers of certain skill levels. Practices are usually 30 minutes to 1 hour in length. Coaches may offer private swim lessons at an additional cost.
Swim Meets:
The summer swim meet season is 6 weeks, with meets every Saturday. Additional (optional) meets are also held on Sundays and Mondays. Times may vary for away meet warm ups. The actual meet begins at 8:30am and can go until 1pm. Factors affecting the length of a swim meet are weather conditions, swimmers waiting to swim their events, and volunteer participation. Without volunteers, the meet cannot go on.
Other Events:
We also offer several social events for swimmers and their families to participate in, most at no cost.
Family Commitment: Attendance
Summer swim leagues are fun! We hope to foster a strong team environment. While we know everyone has different vacation schedules, as well as other commitments, we hope you will be able to attend as many practices, meets, and social events as possible. It is not necessary to alert your coach if you are going to miss a scheduled practice. However, if you cannot attend a meet (or will arrive late/leave early), we ask that you submit this information to the head coach.
