We are talking summer swim team...yes we are already planning for another amazing season.

ON-LINE swim registration is open.  We have an in person registration scheduled for April 6th from 10am-12pm. Stop by the Cali pool to ask questions and see Coach Judy on 4/6. If you are a family that is considering not swimming due to financial difficulties please let us know as NWAL is awarding scholarships for families in need. Please note NWAL is providing scholarships for swimming but families still must provide volunteer deposit payment.

This year we will be introducing new team suits. Swim Shops of the Southwest will be our team equipment provider. Swim Shops is located at 5010-M Louetta Road, in Spring. For those interested in stopping by to see what other practice suits, goggles, and fun swim caps they have to offer, let them know you are with Ponderosa Westador so they can extend the team discount.

Parents interested in becoming officials please contact Erika Ellington at 832-723-1104. We need parents to become Stroke and Turn (S&T) certified as well as Clerk of Course. Classes for certification will begin in April, but classes fill-up quickly. The S&T certification entails a class lecture, on-deck training, and open book NWAL Rules Test. We have a couple of extra rule books for those interested in taking the class so remember to contact Mrs. Ellington so you don't have to buy one the day of the lecture. This year the board has approved a free registered swimmer for any parent or guardian that becomes a Stroke and Turn official. The 2019 swim season schedule is coming along and will be our website under Swim Meets and Calendar. Dual meet volunteer opportunities will be posted out in May. Our current calendar does not include any of the additional "optional" meets like Summer Heat, Summer Thunder, Pentathlon and the like. Once NWAL approves the meets we will post the information.

Ponderosa Invitational is a huge undertaking and planning has begun. Please think of businesses that might want to donate 150 of any item, like pens, snacks, water, coupons or any other promotional items for the coaches bags.

There is so much planning going on and we are excited for the upcoming season. We can't wait to see you all!
