Dual Meet #5 Results
Good afternoon,
Congratulations Piranhas, we won again! We scored 550 points to Chimney Hill's 506! Way to go! We are now 3 victories to 2 defeats!
I am very proud of how the team has been doing, and am optimistic about our performance as we head towards divisionals. It is my hope that we can finish in the top 3 at Divisionals by relying on our relays and taking high places in the individual events. This means that every race and every swimmer counts! Be sure to RSVP.
Attached to this email is a .pdf of the official results as well as the link to where I have posted the RESULTS.
IMPORTANT NOTE RE. READY BENCH ETIQUETTE: Swimmers must leave all electronic and distracting devices behind at the team area. These devices do not belong on deck when the swimmer is about to swim. Ready Bench Volunteers have a hard time communicating to children over the regular caucophony of noise that a swim meet produces. Swimmers need to be alert, focused, and responsive to their environtment. Distractions like cell phones or personal gaming devices make swimmers unaware of what is going on around them and Ready Bench Volunteers have to keep returning to distracted swimmers to keep moving them along. Parents, please remind your swimmers of this rule to ensure the volunteers have an easy time working with your swimmer and that the meet runs smoothly with no missed events.
IMPORTANT NOTE RE. PI QUALIFIERS: There was an error when the meet was being set up where the pool was listed as a METERS pool when it is in fact a YARDS pool. Coach Cayden and I were not made aware of this error until well after the meet was over. This will impact athlete seed times and the correct PI qualifying times to achieve. If you think you qualified for PI, be sure to double check your results. I will attach and link the official PI Time Standards for convenience. I am deeply sorry for any swimmers who were told they had qualified for P.I. as it is likely that they did not.
Expect Newsletter #7 tomorrow. Great job team!
See you on deck,
Coach Cameron
